It all started with a prayer and worship night in the home of Gregg and Shelley Dedrick. The family was personally coming out of a season of brokenness and restoration and was seeking the Lord for what was next. They were reluctant to respond to what the Lord had invited them into. “Really Lord, does Louisville need another prayer and worship night” Gregg thought? But with hesitation they hosted the first gathering in January of 09’ in their home.
Each time more and more people from across the city would pack in. Was it because what was happening there was special? No, it was simply due to the fact that people were so hungry to worship God and those nights were electric with God’s presence.
Sensing that God was up to something greater, they began to look for a property to expand the ministry and create room for more.
The Iron Bell property was purchased in 2010 and renovations began. In 2011 the updated facility was dedicated to the Lord and the “Iron Bell Barn” became open to the public.
As God was restoring us he was teaching us to love him intimately and know him deeply. From that place of intimacy we felt compelled to invite others to meet the God of restoration, and from that experience to be launched into their purpose and passion.This theme would become the basis for everything that would happen in the days to come.
Over the years the ministry has taken on different expressions centered around prayer, worship, and equipping.
These included the birth of a music movement. From the ministry, Iron Bell Music released 2 albums centering around the character of God and His presence. There’s also been messages and teachings released over the years including our online devotional called ”The Adoring God Project.”

A Safe Place
What’s been present throughout every season is God using the Iron Bell as a safe place for anyone from any denomination and walk of life to come and be restored.
We all need a safe place to become undone, hear from God, and receive his perspective and healing.
This is and will continue to be the gift that the Iron Bell is to us personally and to those who visit.
In the healing you may discover a passion that becomes resurrected, or clarity about a decision you’ve been searching for, or you may gain hope for a relationship that’s been broken. But one thing we do know is God had graciously used this place and this ministry to help people get unstuck, reconnected to him in an intimate way, and in His timing, put back into circulation.
Who We Are and What We’re About
1) We are not a church. We love God and follow Biblical principles, but we’re not a church. Our team, like the people we minister to, is made up of people from different denominations and life circumstances.
2) We are on a mission. We believe that each of us deserves the joy of being fully alive in our God-given purpose. We believe our God-given purpose is to help others discover theirs.
3) We are coaches and encouragers: We are passionate about helping you on your journey of getting unstuck, reclaiming your purpose, and discovering your practical steps forward.
