Iron Bell Retreat Schedule and Info

Hello Joshua,

We look forward to hosting you Wednesday at the Iron Bell.

Below, you’ll find your schedule as well as some important info and items to bring. At the very bottom of this page is some information for you to read through to prepare for your retreat experience, We recommend our attendees read through it before arriving. Your schedule will also be printed and available for you at the retreat. See you soon!

Wednesday Schedule:

When you arrive Wednesday, our Wednesday Morning Prayer will be happening at the Iron Bell. This is open to the public and is a come and go prayer experience. Feel free to come as early as 7:00am but see below for your for sure arrival time.

9:00: Please arrive by 9:00am. Check in with Jenny and she will show you to your solo space

9:00-10:30: Solitude Time

10:30-12:00: Group Teaching Session in Cabin- please walk over by 10:25

12-1: Group Lunch in Worship Room - please walk over and meet your group in the worship room

1-2:15:  Solitude Time

2:15-3:00- Meditation Class- please come to worship room by 2:10

3-4: Sauna, Cold Plunge, Therapy Pool: we will come get you

4-5:/5:30- Group Debrief in Main Room

Important Things To Know:

This retreat is geared towards giving you opportunity to rest, hear from God, and be alone with Him. In order to create this atmosphere we ask that we keep noise to a minimum and when talking using a quiet voice. 

Before arriving, make sure to eat breakfast if that’s typical for you. 

If you will be using the sauna during your retreat please bring a change of clothes or a swimsuit. In addition, if you choose to use the therapy pool we ask that you bring a swimsuit for that as well. There is a shower near the pool available for you to use if you’d like. Towels will be provided for you.

Solitude Time: We have planned a schedule for the day but there is lots of flexibility for you to choose how you’d like to spend your time. Be sure to bring whatever interests you in terms of books, studies, devotionals etc. 

Meditation Class: We will be doing a meditation classes so feel free to bring any accessories you’d like for that. Yoga mats, pillows, etc Jenny will provide extras as well. We encourage everyone to try a meditation class. Wear comfortable clothes and feel free to be casual. 

Snack Bar: Snacks and beverages will be provided for you throughout the day at certain times which are indicated on the schedule. When the snack bar is open feel free to come into the front room of barn and see our staff for what you would like to eat or drink
If you would like something from the snack bar when it is open but do not want to leave your solo area feel free to look up the menu on your private website page (accessible on Wednesday) and text Madi at 502-548-9196 and a staff member will bring it to you.  

What If I Need a Break From my Solo Spot?  You are welcome to walk the property or sit outside. Please note the property past the fence near the waterfall does not belong to us.
You are also welcome to come and sit in the worship room and the cafe at certain times of the day. if you would like to do so ask a staff member. 

Quick list of what to bring!

  • Yoga mat, cushion, or pillow for Meditation

  • Blanket, pillow, or anything to make you comfortable. Blankets will be provided for you as well.

  • Journal, Bible, Devotional, or anything you use to help you connect to time alone with God

  • Headphones and device

  • Swimsuit for sauna and swim spa use.
